I have tried to avoid this topic directly for some time but the masses of Stag Party revelers you see in Prague disturb me and actually anger me in the way that they treat the Czech Republic and the Czech female generally. There is a general perception so it seems that there is a high level of prostitution and sexually oriented businesses in the Czech Republic. Well, I haven’t seen it – though it is fair to say I am not looking for it either.

What is true is that Czech women are attractive generally and many have that ‘look’ – I guess a sort of eastern European look that makes them seem even more attractive to ‘western’ male eyes. Additionally, it is also fair to say that Czechs have a more liberal attitude to sex and pornography/erotica than many other countries do – maybe it was communism maybe it wasn’t – but sex is isn’t something to be embarrassed and ashamed about here.

Interestingly, Czech women also do like to compete in beauty competitions and there is a near obsession with them generally. Miss Czech Republic is treated like royalty.

What you do see in larger towns like Brno for example are sex shops – actually quite large stores too so someone must be spending money there! You also see a porn section in Video rental stores – usually in a separate area of the store and, Czech TV often features nudity and sex and more sex. There are numerous strip joints in Prague apparently – they mostly cater for tourists however according to the article quoted above. I am sure that there are prostitutes too although I don’t know that I have ever seen one.

But, at the end of the day, all this is irrelevant. What I truly hate to see is British, German and other tourists coming here to get drunk and mistreat Czech women as if all Czech women were available for a few Pounds, Marks or Dollars. It shows up these idiots for what the are – rowdy yobbos because they are mistaken. At the end of the day, many of them end up being ripped off I am sure – I hope they do anyway.

Life isn’t a porn movie. Not all porn movies are made in the Czech Republic featuring Syliva Saint or other Czech porn stars – in fact most are made in the USA where so far as I can make out, most Czech porn stars also live once established in that industry. Czech women are beautiful and they should be treated respectfully. They are someone’s daughter not sex objects.
